Pest World 2016 Recap

Each year thousands of pest professionals, chemical distributors and manufacturing and technology industry representatives attend PestWorld. Pest management company owners and managers are eager to see the newest tools available to their pest management toolbox all under one roof each October. This year the national show took place in Seattle, WA, October 18th – 21st, 2016. Seattle was an inspiring destination being home to such success stories as Starbucks, Pike Place Fish Market, Amazon, Costco and more. Pest professionals traveled from near and far. While there were a great number of Washington state pest professionals in attendance companies from all over the globe were represented.

What was different this time around?

The forward thinking Nature-Cide team embraced livestreaming in some popular pest management Facebook groups like PestCemetery. They spoke not only about their product line but extended the opportunity to other exhibitors as well. Kudos to their team who brought PestWorld to the thousands of pest professionals who didn’t make the trip but were still able to experience PestWorld from in front of their computer. We expect to see much more of this in upcoming years!

The Allergy Technologies team, makers of ActiveGuard Mattress Liners, had yet another strong presence this year offering Wines and Sweets from the West during exhibit hours. They had one of the most popular giveaways at the show, a vinyl wine glass that nearly every attendee took home.

What was glaringly missing this PestWorld?

Nearly any talk about the election. Probably a smart move with the current sentiments that most Americans have about this year’s election.

PestWorld 2016 offered another incredible opportunity to showcase a company’s product line to our industry. Kudos to the National Pest Management Association for executing yet another fantastic show. It was a great experience attending personally and our clients felt it was one of their best shows to date. See you in Baltimore, October, 2017.
